I received my associate's degree from Front Range Community College in Colorado, for Physical Science. I went on to the Colorado School of Mines where I received a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I have worked as a tutor at both the high school and college level. I have tutored high school students with Physical Science and Algebra. While I was in college, I lead several study groups for my peers in Math and Science. The subjects that I am experienced to tutor include: Algebra (up to level four), Calculus (one, two, and three), Chemistry, Physical Science, and Physics. I specialize in Algebra and Chemistry, because I use these subjects for work everyday. I enjoy assisting others to develop their knowledge in Chemistry. During a tutoring session, I work on the same problem as my student, show my work, and compare answers with my student. I believe this allows errors to be easily found and corrected, while also teaching the correct process of finding the solution. I am an avid board game player and take ideas from games to my tutoring sessions to help create a fun environment to learn. In my free time, I enjoy audiobooks, biking, brewing beer, camping, hiking, playing board games, and playing video games - RTS and RPG.
